Create a Webhook

Learn how to add a webhook in DigitalPilot so your application receives real-time notifications when high-intent visitors, target accounts, or leads are detected.

What Are Webhooks?

A webhook lets DigitalPilot send real-time data to your application as soon as an event occurs—for example, when a company showing high intent visits your site, when a target account browses your site, or when a lead email is captured. Your app receives an HTTP POST to a URL you provide, so you can automate workflows (e.g. update your CRM, trigger internal tools).

Who Can Create Webhooks?

Only administrators for a tag can create webhooks. If you don't see the option to add a webhook, ask an admin on your team or have your role updated.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to Webhooks

  • Log in to your DigitalPilot account.
  • In the left-hand menu, go to Settings.
  • Click Webhooks in the settings navigation. (You can also open Webhooks from Integrations by clicking the Webhooks card.)

2. Add a New Webhook

  • Click Add a new webhook.
  • In the Add a New Webhook modal, enter the URL to post to—the endpoint where your application will receive webhook payloads (e.g. https://your-app.com/webhooks/digitalpilot). The URL must be publicly reachable so DigitalPilot can send POST requests.
  • Under Subscriptions, choose which events to receive. At least one is required:
    • High Intent — POST when companies exhibiting high-intent behavior visit your site.
    • Target Accounts — POST when a business on one of your target account lists visits your site.
    • Lead Capture — POST when a lead email is captured from your website into the Lead Center.
  • Click Add.

3. Confirm and Use Your Webhook

After the webhook is created, you'll be returned to the Webhooks page and the new webhook will appear under Your Webhooks with its URL, subscriptions, and creation date. DigitalPilot will send POST requests to your URL when the subscribed events occur. Make sure your endpoint responds with a success status (e.g. 200) so DigitalPilot knows the delivery succeeded.

Updating and Deleting Webhooks

Click a webhook in the list to open Update Webhook. You can change the URL or which subscriptions are enabled, then click Update. To remove a webhook, click Delete webhook in the update modal—the webhook will stop receiving events immediately.
