Understanding the Lead Center

Learn how the Lead Center works—where to find it, how to enable lead capture from your website and ads, and how to view and filter captured leads.

What Is the Lead Center?

The Lead Center is where DigitalPilot stores and displays lead emails captured from your website and advertising campaigns. It gives you one place to see all captured leads, filter by date or channel, and search. You can also get real-time notifications (e.g. via Slack or webhooks) when new leads are captured.

Where to Find the Lead Center

In the left-hand menu of your DigitalPilot dashboard, click Lead Center. If lead capture is not enabled for your tag, you'll see a message that leads are not captured for this workspace, with a link to Edit tag options to enable it.

Enabling Lead Capture

To start capturing lead emails into the Lead Center, you must turn on lead capture for your tag. Only administrators can change this setting.

  • Go to Settings and click Tag options (or use the Edit tag options link from the Lead Center when it's disabled).
  • Find the option Capture lead emails into DigitalPilot.
  • Turn the switch on so that lead emails collected from your website are automatically sent to the Lead Center for tracking and management.
  • Click Save.

After saving, the Lead Center will show your captured leads. DigitalPilot captures lead emails when visitors submit forms or otherwise provide their email on your site (where the DigitalPilot tag is installed and can detect the capture).

Capturing Leads from Facebook (Meta) Ads

You can also capture leads from your Meta (Facebook) advertising campaigns. Go to Integrations and open Meta Ads. Connect your ad account and enable Capture Meta Ads Leads to sync leads from your Facebook ad campaigns into the Lead Center.

Viewing and Filtering Leads

When lead capture is enabled, the Lead Center shows:

  • Total Leads — The number of lead emails captured.
  • Leads list — A table of captured leads with details such as email, channel, and date. Use the Search box to find leads by email or other fields.
  • Date range filter — Limit the list to a time period (e.g. Last 7 days, Last 28 days, Custom).
  • Channel filter — Limit by traffic channel (e.g. organic, paid, direct) if available.

Use Load More to load additional leads if the list is paginated.

Getting Notifications for New Leads

To get notified when new leads are captured, you can enable Lead Capture in Slack (Integrations → Slack) or add a webhook with the Lead Capture subscription (Settings → Webhooks). You can also manage email subscriptions for lead capture under your account's Email Preferences.
